Your source for aerial photography and imagery interpretation
Aerial photographs are an important data source used by Resource Controls during the completion of environmental site assessments. Historical aerial photographs document evidence of past commercial and/or industrial activities, in addition to changes in topography, hydrology and vegetation.

Other types of imagery utilized by Resource Controls during the environmental site assessment process include the following:
  • Color infrared photographs which are useful for detecting vegetation stress; and
  • Thermal infrared imagery which can detect qualitative variations in surface temperatures indicative of leachate discharge points, past disposal activities or subsurface pipelines.
