Transmission and Distribution
If the water supply cannot get to the areas in need, the objectives of the project cannot be met. Transmission mains form the main arteries of the piping network. The distribution mains “distribute” water to the customer. Most all of our water supply infrastructure projects have included both transmission and distribution piping work. In support of these projects, we have completed a wide range of engineering tasks including system inspections, data collection, system mapping, flow and pressure tests, performance analyses by use of computerized models such as WaterCAD, supported by AutoCAD and ArcView, engineering design of upgrades and expansions, preparation of construction documents and complete construction management services. Many of these projects also contained complicated design and construction challenges such as pipeline jacking and tunneling, traversing wetlands, and railroad/interstate highway crossings which were all successfully met.
