Positions Available

Civil/Environmental Engineer

Overview

Resource Controls is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer with 0 to 5 years of experience and goals for advancement and exposure to a diverse work experience. A B.S. in civil or environmental engineering and EIT is preferred, with the goal to obtain a P.E. license in the future.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, including civil site plans, grading plans, wastewater/storm water systems, and soil/groundwater treatment systems;
  • Permitting and contract specification preparation;
  • Field work, including surveying and construction management; and
  • Environmental analysis and report preparation.

Requirements

Candidate should be proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD LandDesktop/Civil Design software. Excellent writing and communication skills and an ability to perform tasks on multiple projects are required.

GIS Analyst/Environmental Scientist

Overview

Resource Controls is seeking a GIS Analyst/Environmental Scientist for our Pawtucket, RI office with 0 to 3 years of experience and goals for advancement and exposure to a diverse work experience in the environmental industry. Candidate should possess a B.S. in environmental science, geography, hydrogeology, geology, engineering or related science and have experience with GIS analysis and interpretation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with other scientists and engineers to provide GIS services on a variety of environmental and engineering projects;
  • Creation of cartographic products in both digital and paper form;
  • GPS data collection;
  • Data management and analysis, regulatory interpretation and reporting;
  • Property transaction assessments;
  • Field work, including environmental sampling and field oversight duties; and
  • Soil/groundwater investigations.

Requirements

Candidate should be proficient in ESRI’s ArcGIS 9.x ArcView software and MS Office Software. Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Access and GPS hardware a plus. Excellent writing and communication skills and an ability to perform tasks on multiple projects are required.

Environmental Field Technician

Overview

Resource Controls is seeking an Environmental Field Technician for our Pawtucket, RI office. Candidate should possess a minimum of a high school diploma and strong electrical and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Soil and groundwater sample collection;
  • Construction oversight and contractor supervision;
  • Site surveying;
  • Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair; and
  • Data collection and recording in detailed field notes and sketches.

Requirements

Position requires travel throughout eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island and year-round outdoor work. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, along with a strong work ethic and self-motivation. 40 hr OSHA certified, a plus.
